We didn't expect this at GaryCon...

We’re back from Gary Con, and wow… we’re still riding high!

We had copies of the Druskara proofs on hand, and getting to put them directly into your hands was special. Backers flipped through the books, asked questions, and dug into the details. We got to watch people upgrade on the spot after seeing the Collector’s Editions in person. It was fun showing the standard and collector's books first and then pulling out the DM Screen as a finale. Any on the fence were instantly converted into backers. That Mark Riddick piece is just that good!



We also ran 5 games of two Druskara one-shots, and those sessions were uproariously fun. The Crystal Skull made its debut, and Klaakna, god of the gnolls, earned many followers! PvP tension, laughter, open mouth shock, and great role playing made the sessions everything we love about gaming. 

Something unforgettable was how many people came up just to say hi and congratulate us. They were amazing people we had never met before who backed the project and wanted to share in the excitement. It felt like we were all a part of it together. There were also old and new friends, expressing their excitement as well!

There are also some very exciting things brewing behind the scenes. We’ve got a few collaborations in the works, and we may or may not be planning some special live gameplay with a certain… well known friends of the space.

We’ll keep that one close for now, but trust, it’s gonna to be fun! Thank you to everyone who came out, played with us, talked with us, or just stopped by. Gary Con was unforgettable!

Okay… we’ve been dying to share this.

At $200,000, we’re unlocking a new zine: The Umbral Caldera! It's a volcanic wasteland where ash chokes the sky and the Shadowdark roams the blackened land. It’s harsh, deadly, and the real threat is not the volcano. Expect a ready-to-run region with new threats, encounters, and delicious snacks... you!

What about Unnatural Selection?

Many of you have been asking:

“Will you reprint Unnatural Selection?”

Right now, the book is sold out — but with so many new backers discovering Dungeon Damsel through Druskara, we’re considering bringing it back for another print run. Unnatural Selection is woven into the four books that make the Druskara Core Set. Despite this, you're still hungry for our original creation. Unnatural Selection birthed the roots from which Dungeon Damsel Publishing grew from.

What if we re-print? If we did, the book would be updated to the new format/design internals as Druskara, so that they can exist seamlessly alongside one another. See some of the campaign imagery to find out what that may look like. We would also open up a few new pledge tiers to accommodate the book.

New Stretch Goal: Community-Created Ancestries & Classes

We’ve just revealed a new stretch goal at $135,000, and this one invites the Dungeon Damsel community to help shape the people of Druskara.

When this goal is unlocked, backers will be able to suggest and vote on new ancestries and classes to be created for the setting. Multiple options may be developed depending on what the community brings forward and what fits the world best.

You’ll also be able to suggest ideas for ancestral talents and traits, helping define what makes these new peoples and heroes unique.

Once the community has spoken, the Dungeon Damsel team will refine and develop the final versions, ensuring they fit the tone of Shadowdark & Druskara. 

We love involving the community in the creative process. It helps us build things people truly want to see at their tables, and it lets you become part of shaping the world.

If you’d like to see this stretch goal unlocked, please consider sharing the campaign and spreading the word. Every pledge helps move us closer to creating a truly AWESOME setting.
